A PAN card, like an Aadhaar card, is the most important document to submit for income tax returns and related tasks. A PAN card is also required to open a bank account, purchase real estate, or other assets.
An applicant can apply for a PAN card online or in person. The process for applying for a PAN card via any of the methods may differ; however, the eligibility criteria and documentation requirements remain the same.
Aside from applying for a PAN card, an applicant can apply for a PAN card through two different channels: NSDL and UTIITSL. The steps in each of these portals may differ slightly.
In this blog, we will learn how to apply for an NSDL PAN card online and offline.
