Our New Leave Policies: Supporting our Employees with Work-Life Balance

byPreeti VermaLast Updated: June 24, 2023

We believe that strong leave policies can help employees to recharge themselves. We aim to facilitate them with best-in-class benefits that prioritise their health, wellness, and work-life balance. We have revised our leave policies and introduced Bereavement and Miscarriage leave for this financial year.

Our HRs and managers encourage Paytmers to plan their long leave in advance to fulfill their personal priorities.

With the objective to support Paytmers coping with the loss of their near and dear ones, we have introduced a Bereavement Leave. They can apply for bereavement leave at the time of the demise of an immediate family member to take time to grieve with their family at this difficult time. This will be a paid leave for a period of 5 working days that can be availed of within 2 weeks of the bereavement.

To support our employees going through a tough time, we have also introduced Miscarriage Leave for Paytmers. In case of miscarriage or medical termination of pregnancy, they can avail of paid leave of up to 6 weeks under the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961.

We put our employees’ well-being first and that includes their mental well-being. For this, we have been arranging sessions with renowned counselors, and conducting yoga sessions for the mental and physical well-being of our employees. We also earlier introduced special Covid-19 leave and offered 12 months’ salary to the Paytmers’ family members, who lost their lives due to Covid.

Our teams are the key drivers of high performance and future growth. Every Paytmer is entitled to the benefits such as healthcare coverage and paid parental leave as soon as they onboard with us. We have enabled work-life balance for Paytmers and facilitated these leave to take care of their personal emergencies.
