We recommend that before you send in your resume, take a look at the job description and align your resume to it, including projects you have handled successfully and their outcomes. If you have led a team, we would like to understand your leadership and managerial skills. Freshers can include projects done during their graduation/ internship along with their interest areas. Resume Screening & Interview

We follow thorough, thoughtful, and transparent recruitment practices. Though we receive plenty of applications through direct sourcing, job portals, our intra career page Lever, and through references, we rigorously evaluate each and every application.

Paytm generally performs three rounds of interviews, which can change depending on the role – we want to understand you as a potential hire and want you to make sure that we are the company of your choice too.

Online Technical Assessments: You may be asked to do a brief online assessment, which may include MCQ questions on Data Structure and Algorithms. Meant for developers and programmers – this round typically involves performing coding and system design white boarding exercises. Invention is in our DNA, and technology is the fundamental tool we wield to evolve and improve every aspect of the experience we provide our customers. The technical assessments for junior to mid level technology profiles are conducted via HackerRank tests.

Behavioural-Based Questions: Our interviews are rooted in behavioural-based questions, where we ask about past situations or challenges you’ve faced and how you handled that using Paytm’s Leadership Principles (company values) to guide the discussion. Keeping in mind that Paytm is a tech-driven company, while answering these questions, you are expected to provide well-structured answers, with best examples using metrics or data if possible.

Case Study Round: In this round, you will be expected to work through a business problem, analyse it and offer best possible solutions. We are looking for agile problem solvers, lateral and structured thinkers. This round will also introduce you to some of the real-time challenges and scenarios that you might be solving for once you join us.

Alignment with our Goals and Values: Post the above rounds, the candidate will next have a conversation with their business leaders. This is where we want to understand your working style with our company values or guiding principles, your potential success in the role and how you deal with challenges.

Final Offer and Onboarding

After the last round, we discuss the candidacy with our senior leaders in a ‘debrief’ session. On this, we discuss the interview rounds, and see if we can move forward with the offer. After taking the decision, we notify you immediately with a call with the good news!

The moment you accept the offer, the onboarding team walks you through compensation, perks, benefits, badging, insurance and so on, after which you will be on your way to becoming a Paytmer. Welcome aboard!
