How Does Paytm Refer & Win Work?

Paytm Refer & Win is made up of two people, who are as follows:

• Referrer- One who refers/invites another person to join Paytm
• Referee- A person who gets referred by the referrer

Refer & Win is an initiative that allows Paytm users to invite new (never used Paytm before) or inactive (not used Paytm in the last 2 months) users to start using Paytm. The following points will provide more information about Paytm’s Refer & Win initiative.

• Paytm users, known as referrers, can use the Paytm Refer & Win program to invite and motivate their friends, relatives, and others to join Paytm
• Every time a referee joins through the link and completes his/her first UPI transaction, the referrer receives Rs 333 cashback
• The referee who joins Paytm via the Refer & Win program will receive a guaranteed cashback after making his or her first UPI transaction through Paytm
• There is no limit to the number of people with whom a referrer may share the referral link
• A referrer can earn referral benefits for a maximum of 20 new referees per month and a total of 100 new referees per year
• If the referrer’s or referee’s bank account is not linked to Paytm UPI, the cashback will not be processed
• It is necessary to link the bank account with Paytm UPI within 7 days of becoming eligible for the Refer & Win cashback; otherwise, the cashback may expire

How to Use Paytm Refer & Win?

Following are the methods to use Paytm refer & win- 

Step 1: Sign in to the Paytm app.

Step 2: Tap on the ‘Search’ button (located at the top right corner of the screen).

Step 3: Type ‘Refer & Win’ in the search bar and then tap on the ‘Refer & Win’ icon.

Step 4:

Option A: Share your referral link through Whatsapp or choose ‘More Options’ to send the referral link to your friends and family. Also, you can choose ‘Invite via Referral QR’ option. The app will create a referral QR to send further with your friends and family.

Option B: Scroll down the screen, select a contact from your list, and send them the referral link directly.

Referral Eligibility Conditions for Paytm

To qualify for Paytm’s referral rewards, both you and your friend must meet these conditions:

• Returning Users: If your friend (the referee) is a returning user, they must have a bank account already linked to their Paytm account.
• New Users: If your friend is new to Paytm, they need to make a payment using their debit card, credit card, or net banking.
• Using Referral Link or Code: The referee must click on your shared referral link, scan your referral QR code, or use your referral code before making their first payment.
• Eligible Transactions: Only specific transactions will count towards the referral reward. The first eligible transaction must be completed within 7 days.
• Multiple Referrals: If multiple users refer your friend, the reward goes to the person whose referral link was clicked last before the friend completes their transaction.
• Single Device Rule: Only the first account will be eligible for the reward if multiple Paytm accounts are created on the same device through the referral link.
• Different Devices: Both the referrer and referee must use different mobile devices.
• Prior Installations: If the referee has already installed or signed up on Paytm, they must click the referral link before completing the eligible transaction.
• Transaction Validity: Transactions made with someone else’s UPI ID, third-party UPI ID, or bank account are not eligible.

What Payment is Required for the Referral Reward?

To qualify for the referral reward for both parties, the referee must make one of the following payments using the Paytm app:

• Scan & Pay: The referee needs to make a minimum payment of ₹10 if they are new to Paytm, or ₹5 if they are returning users. This can be done by scanning any QR code at a shop and paying via UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
• Recharge or Bill Payments: The referee must complete a transaction of at least ₹10 if they are new to Paytm, or ₹5 if they are returning users, for any recharge or bill payment using UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
• UPI Money Transfer: The referee needs to transfer at least ₹10 if they are new to Paytm, or ₹5 if they are returning users, to any mobile number, bank account, or UPI ID through UPI.

Who Can I Refer to Paytm?

You can invite anyone you know to start using Paytm, and there are specific rewards for referring different types of users:

• New-to-Paytm Users: These are individuals who have never made a transaction on Paytm before.
• Inactive Paytm Users: These are existing Paytm users who have previously transacted but haven’t used the app in the last two months.

What Rewards Can You Earn by Referring Friends to Paytm?

When you refer others to use Paytm, you unlock rewards through our ‘3ka333’ offer. Here’s how it works:

• First Referral Bonus: After completing your very first referral, you’ll qualify for the ‘3ka333’ program.
• Earn for Each Referral: Following your initial referral, you will receive ₹100 for each new person you successfully refer.
• Monthly Bonus: If you manage to complete 3 successful referrals within a single calendar month, you’ll receive an additional ₹33 as a bonus. This extra cashback will be added to your account along with the reward for your 3rd referral of that month.

Important Notes:

• The ₹33 bonus is only available if you complete 3 referrals in one month and can’t be carried over to the next month.
• If your VPA (Virtual Payment Address) isn’t in the format mobile number@paytm/@ptaxis/@ptsbi/@pthdfc/@ptyes, you will get Paytm cashback points instead of cash.

To see the cashback you’ve earned, follow these steps:

• Open the Paytm App and go to the Cashback & Offers page.
• Look for the “Cashback Won” section.
• Here, you will find all the details of the cashback you’ve received.
