How to Check Bank Account Balance on Paytm?

Paytm mobile application provides the facility to link your bank account with your Paytm account and check the account balance anytime, anywhere. On top of this, you can link multiple bank accounts with Paytm, which allows you to keep a track of your account balance and transactions of all the bank accounts- all in one place.

Unlike net banking where you have to log in to your bank account each time, either with Username-Password or MPin, Paytm offers a simple, and convenient process where you can directly check the account balance of linked accounts.

Guidelines to Check Bank A/c Balance on Paytm

There are two ways through which you can check your bank account balance-

Option 1: Check Bank Account Balance in ‘Passbook’

Open the Paytm application and do as follows:

  • Scroll down to ‘Passbook’ on the homepage. This shows your account balance and the transaction history

  • In your Passbook, under the section ‘Account Balance & History’, you will find two separate sections. These are under the subheads of ‘Accounts’ and ‘History’. ‘History’ keeps a track record of all your transactions. It includes debits & credits from all the linked bank accounts as well as payments from your cards and wallets
  • Under the ‘Account’ section, you will find options like ‘Paytm Wallet’, ‘Paytm Postpaid’, and other linked bank accounts. On the right side of each account, you can see the option to ‘Check Balance’
  • You will need your UPI PIN to check the balance of each bank account. If you have linked your Paytm Payments Bank account, then you will not be required to enter the UPI PIN to check your balance. Simply, click on ‘Check Balance’ and your balance will be reflected

Option 2: Check Account Balance in ‘Settings’

Launch the Paytm application, and then follow the guidelines as below:

  • Go to your profile. You can do this by clicking on your profile picture on the top left of the home page

  • Scroll down so as to go to the ‘Settings’ option that has all details of ‘Automatic Payments’, ‘linked bank accounts, ‘Third Party Apps Linked with Wallet’, etc.

  • Now, scroll down to ‘Payment Settings’ and go to the section of ‘Saved Cards & Bank Accounts’

  • Once you go to the ‘Saved Payment Details’ section, you can see the ‘Linked Bank Accounts’. If there is no account linked, then you can ‘Add New Account’. Now Paytm will automatically link the bank account associated with your number

You can also add new bank accounts other than existing ones to link them with Paytm. Under the name of each bank account, you can see the option to ‘Check Balance’

  • Once you choose to ‘Check Balance’, you will have to enter the UPI PIN of each of your bank accounts. Then the Paytm app will showcase your account balance. If you have Paytm Payments bank Account, you may not need to enter the UPI PIN as you can check the balance directly

You can check the balance of all linked bank accounts in a few simple steps. Checking your account balance on Paytm is easy, quick, and convenient
