Tatkal bookings open just one day before the journey, making it a race against time. Paytm’s Tatkal Scheduling feature allows you to pre-fill all your passenger details and IRCTC password, increasing your chances of getting a confirmed ticket as soon as the booking window opens.
Here are the simple steps to schedule your Tatkal Train Booking on the Paytm App:
- Step 1: Open the Paytm App and select the ‘Train Tickets’ option under the ‘Travel Bookings’ section.
- Step 2: Select your Boarding (From) and Deboarding (To) stations.
- Step 3: Select your Journey Date (which should be the Tatkal booking date) and tap on the ‘Search Trains’ button.
- Step 4: Select your desired train, booking class, and quota.
- Step 5: Tap on the ‘Schedule Tatkal Booking’ button, which appears below the check availability/Tatkal text.
- Step 6: On the ‘Travel Details’ page, Select the passengers from your saved list or add new ones.
- Step 7: Enter your IRCTC User ID and Password (required for Tatkal scheduling).
- Step 8: Tap on the ‘Schedule Tatkal Booking’ button at the bottom of the page.
- Step 9: Check the confirmation message on your screen. Paytm will notify you 15 minutes before the Tatkal window opens. Click ‘Done’.
- Step 10: Go back to the Train Tickets page (or simply stay on the current screen).
- Step 11: Click on the Easy Tatkal card displaying your scheduled journey, which is now ready for quick booking.
- Step 12: Review the pre-filled details and tap ‘Proceed to Pay & Book’ to complete the booking when the window opens.
