Cancelling a train ticket booked through the Paytm App is a simple and mandatory process for obtaining a refund. You can easily initiate the cancellation and review the applicable refund amount right within the app.

Step 1: Open the Paytm App and select the ‘Train Tickets’ option under the ‘Ticket Booking’ section.

Step 2: On the Paytm Travel page, tap on ‘My Bookings’ in the bottom strip menu to view your booked tickets.

Step 3: Select the Train Ticket you wish to cancel from the list of travel bookings.

Step 4: Check the booking details (PNR status, passenger list) and tap on ‘Cancel Booking’ (usually located at the bottom right).

Step 5: Select the reason for cancellation (e.g., ‘Not travelling anymore,’ ‘Got better availability in other trains,’ or ‘Others’) and tap ‘Proceed’.

Step 6: Check the Tentative Refund Summary to see the breakup of charges (IRCTC charges, cancellation charges, etc.) and the final refund amount. Tap ‘Proceed’ and then tap ‘Confirm’ to finalize the cancellation.

The cancellation is successful, and the app will immediately show you the total refund amount and the estimated timeline for the refund to be credited back to your account.
