Merchants show Trust, Ensure No Inconvenience With Our Products & Services

We are thankful to all merchants and users for believing in Paytm and giving us constant love and relentless support. As the pioneers of QR and mobile payments in India, we have built a strong digital ecosystem for merchants – from the smaller shopkeepers to the biggest enterprises – and enabled them to achieve stronger growth in their digital journey.

Today, merchants intuitively understand the value of digital payments and they believe in our solutions to make their digital payments journey easier and trusted. We want to confirm that all the services associated with Paytm – QR codes, Soundbox and Card Machine are working, and will continue to work beyond February 29, 2024. 

We have always considered our merchants our real ‘brand ambassadors’ for our products and services. Our merchants, who are already using Paytm QR codes, Paytm Soundbox, and Paytm Card Machine, have come forward to support us and share their seamless experiences.

A merchant from Ludhiana said: “Hello everyone, I have been using Paytm’s innovative products for my business since it was launched. I have never faced any issues with its products yet.” Similarly, another merchant mentioned: “Paytm provides quick services, their reach is very prompt, fast and is a trustworthy payment partner. In case of any issue with the product, the team visits us within 15 days of complaint to support us.”  

We have always been at the forefront of the digital revolution in India backed by our large army of merchants and consumers. Extending support, one of the merchants mentioned “We love and support Paytm.” Additionally, another merchant from Kripa Communications added: “We have been using Paytm Card Machines for the past 3 years for all our businesses. It is better as compared with other brands and its service is quick and I have not yet faced any problem with Paytm.” 

Assuring for uninterrupted service and boosting the morale of Paytmers, our Founder & CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma earlier Tweeted: “To every Paytmer, Your favourite app is working and will keep working beyond 29 February as usual. I with every Paytm team member salute you for your relentless support. For every challenge, there is a solution and we are sincerely committed to serving our nation in full compliance. India will keep winning global accolades in payment innovation and inclusion in financial services – with PaytmKaro as the biggest champion of it.” 

Another merchant, Nakul added: “I have been using Paytm devices such as Paytm Soundbox, Paytm QR, Paytm Card Machines regularly. They are working and we believe they will continue to work. I have never faced any difficulties with the products. You must be hearing about the turbulence about the machines not working and all, which is not the scenario. I have been taking payments, there are no such issues and it’s running absolutely fine! Some rumours are currently floating around, but will urge all to stick to the facts.”

Believing in Paytm and its services, another merchant said: “We have also bought Paytm POS machine recently at our store Mobile Master.”

We have already confirmed that our merchant payment services will not be impacted. Our offline merchant payment network offerings like Paytm QR, Paytm Soundbox, Paytm Card Machine, will continue as usual, where it can onboard new offline merchants as well.

RBI Hikes UPI Tax Payment Limit to Rs 5 Lakh

UPI Limit for Tax Payments Increased from Rs 1 Lakh to Rs 5 Lakh

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has increased the UPI limit for tax payments from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. This means you can now pay larger tax amounts quickly and easily using UPI.

Effective immediately, taxpayers can transfer up to Rs 5 lakh in a single UPI transaction for paying taxes. This move aims to simplify the tax payment process and encourage digital payments. Additionally, the RBI has introduced 'delegated payments' through UPI, allowing users to authorize another person to make UPI payments from their account.

These measures are expected to make tax payments more convenient and boost digital payment adoption across India.
