The Complete Guide on How to Stick FASTag_

FASTag is a device that enables cashless payment of toll taxes on Indian national highways. If you’re new to using FASTag and wondering how to stick it to your vehicle, you’ve come to the right place.

In this blog post, we will provide you with a step-by-step guide on how to properly attach FASTag to your vehicle, ensuring a hassle-free experience at toll plazas.

What is FASTag Sticker?

A FASTag sticker is a small electronic device that is affixed to the windscreen of a vehicle. It contains a unique identification number and is used for cashless payment of toll taxes at toll plazas on Indian national highways. The sticker uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to communicate with the FASTag scanner at the toll plaza, allowing for automatic deduction of toll amounts from the linked prepaid account. The FASTag sticker needs to be properly stuck on the vehicle’s windscreen as per the guidelines provided to ensure efficient functioning and seamless toll payments.

How and Where to Stick FASTag?

To stick your FASTag on your four-wheeler’s windscreen, follow these simple steps:

  • Remove the white adhesive liner from the sticker. Make sure not to touch the adhesive side with your fingers.
  • Find the spot behind the rearview mirror on the top middle of the windshield. This is where the FASTag should be placed.
  • Stick the FASTag from the inside of the vehicle, ensuring that the adhesive side faces outside. Press the sticker gently to secure it in place.
  • It’s important to note that once you have pasted the sticker, avoid trying to remove or reposition it. This can damage the sticker or affect its functionality.

Things to Remember While Sticking the FASTag

Do not forget to miss out on the following points while sticking the FASTag:

  • Ensure that the surface is clean and dry as you paste the FASTag sticker
  • Don’t paste the sticker if you think that the adhesive on it is insufficient. Try to replace it with a new one immediately
  • Do not use any other adhesive (such as tape or the like) apart from that already on the sticker to paste the FASTag
  • Never try to peel off or reposition the FASTag once it is pasted
