Incomplete KYC FASTags to Be Deactivated After January 31, 2024

Starting from January 31, 2024, FASTags with incomplete KYC will be deactivated by banks, according to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). NHAI has introduced the 'One Vehicle, One FASTag' initiative to improve the efficiency of the electronic toll collection system and facilitate smoother movement at toll plazas. This initiative discourages the use of a single FASTag for multiple vehicles or linking multiple FASTags to one vehicle. NHAI is urging FASTag users to complete the KYC process as per RBI guidelines by updating their latest FASTag. Users must ensure that their latest FASTag has completed KYC to avoid any inconvenience.
