Paytm Foundation wins the prestigious Mahatma Award

Honoured for providing immediate relief in the form of oxygen concentrators as well as a vaccine finder tool to millions of Indians

We are excited to share that our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm, Paytm Foundation, has won the Mahatma Award 2022 for COVID-19 Humanitarian Effort.

Mahatma Awards, instituted by entrepreneur and philanthropist Amit Sachdeva, also known as the ‘CSR Man of India’, is an initiative of Aditya Birla Group to honour social impact leaders and changemakers.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Our arm Paytm Foundation launched an #OxygenforLife initiative. Through this initiative, it made way for immediate relief by supplying oxygen concentrators and also enabled long-term oxygen capacity enhancement by government hospitals by setting up oxygen plants. Furthermore, the foundation also provided ancillary support in the form of ambulances.

We also launched a Vaccine Finder tool, through which millions of users from over 730 districts across India could book vaccine slots as per their preferred location and time.

“As a responsible organization, we are committed to creating an inclusive society and serving India with the power of technology. Social responsibility is at the core of Paytm and we are honoured to receive the prestigious Mahatma Award as it will only motivate us to work harder.”
