Step 1– Visit the official website for e-challan issuance provided by the transport department of Mumbai

How to Pay E-Challan Using Mumbai Traffic Police Challan Payment System?

Under the new system of e-challan Mumbai, the violators are notified through SMS on their mobile number that is registered upon encountering any traffic violation. By following these simple steps an individual can make Mumbai traffic fine payment online through the state’s official website-

Step 1– Click on the official website link given on the SMS

Step 2– After clicking on the portal, there are two ways in which you can log in-

  • Enter the registered vehicle number and the last four digits of engine number

or

  • Enter the challan number mentioned on the SMS and login directly

Step 3– Enter all the required details and click on the ‘Pay’ button.

Step 4– You will be directed to the net-banking page

Step5– The payee can make the payment using the debit card, credit card, net-banking, etc.

*Note the reference number generated before proceeding to e-challan online payment.

How to Pay E-Challan through Paytm?

On Paytm Mobile App

  • Open the Paytm Mobile Application on your phone
  • Click on ‘Recharge and Pay Bills’
  • Scroll Down to find ‘Challan’ and click on it
  • Select the ‘Traffic Authority’
  • Enter the required details such as Challan ID/Number, vehicle number, etc.
  • Click on ‘Proceed’ to check the fine amount
  • Choose the preferred mode of payment from credit card, debit card, Paytm wallet, Paytm postpaid, UPI & Net Banking
  • Once you complete the payment you will receive a notification regarding the same

On Paytm Website

  • Go to the ‘Challan Bill Payment’ page on the Paytm website
  • Choose the ‘Traffic Authority’
  • Enter the required details such as Challan ID/Number, vehicle number, etc.
  • Click on ‘Proceed’ to check the fine amount
  • Choose the preferred mode of payment from credit card, debit card, Paytm wallet, Paytm postpaid, UPI & Net Banking
  • Once you complete the payment you will receive a notification regarding the same

Note- Currently, individuals can pay challan for Andhra Pradesh, Faridabad, Chennai, Telangana & Maharashtra traffic authorities only at Paytm. For traffic authorities other than this the individuals can check online if they allow e-challan payment.
