We are excited to share that we have won the ET Shark Awards 2024 for our campaign ‘India Kahe Paytm Karo’ in the Fintech category on July 5, 2024, in Mumbai. These awards celebrate excellence in marketing across industries, recognising outstanding efforts that exhibit qualities like competition, focus, and innovation over the past year.
Launched last year, our ad campaign ‘India Kahe Paytm Karo’ highlighted how we have become integral to India’s diverse landscape. The campaign ran across five cities — Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Delhi — showcasing the everyday impact of our pioneering QR codes and mobile payments on the lives of Indians.
The campaign depicted the nuances of daily life, emphasising how Paytm is seamlessly integrated into various facets of urban living. From heritage sites like Char Minar in Hyderabad to local flavors like filter coffee and Irani tea cafes in Bengaluru and Mumbai, the campaign celebrated Paytm’s role in enhancing the lives of people in these cities. Hoardings across these cities highlighted how Paytm adds value to the lives of Indians.
Our message was clear – supporting India’s journey towards a cashless economy and making every transaction digital. The campaign demonstrated Paytm’s ease of use in professional settings, such as splitting bills with colleagues or paying for office supplies, and illustrated the convenience of quick, hassle-free payments at popular street food stalls.
We take pride in bringing technology-driven innovations to our users by launching industry-first solutions that have revolutionised mobile payments in India. Through this campaign, we celebrated the diverse fabric of our country, showing how our Paytm QR codes have reached a wide range of consumers and merchants. We have become a part of India’s heritage, with the sound of mobile transactions now synonymous with Paytm. The verb for mobile payments is now ‘Paytm Karo’.
As India’s leading fintech company, our technology-led solutions empower millions. We drive payment flexibility with Paytm UPI, Wallet, net banking, debit, and credit cards. After being the first to launch UPI Lite for small-value transactions, we also enabled users to make UPI payments using their RuPay credit cards.
