Stronger Leadership to Achieve Bigger Goals
We welcomed several Senior Vice Presidents last year. The recruitment was majorly for the roles in product, growth, operations, analytics, business, and program management, across teams such as payments, lending, insurance, wealth management, and compliance. In Paytm, leadership is crucial to the management of manpower as it directs the resources for improved efficiency and helps in the achievement of goals. The leadership decisions flow from the top down and provide clarity of purpose, motivate, and guide the employees to realize their mission.
Our focus was also on bringing on board young talent from across the top colleges in the country. We hired 715 engineers from over 80 campuses including IITs, NITs, and IIITs, and over 100 Commerce hiring from top 15 colleges such as Shri Ram College of Commerce, Hansraj College, Hindu College, among many others.
We also hired 265 graduates from over 26 colleges including IIM A, B, C, L, XLRI, ISB, etc. We also emerged as the top fintech recruiter in IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, and many others last year. We have been at the forefront of hiring young talents from IIMs and other top business schools, who will play an essential role in launching innovative financial services and technology to fuel the company’s growth journey.
