- Updating biometric data in their Aadhaar, including photo, fingerprints, and iris scans.
- Downloading and printing Aadhaar.
Updating your Aadhaar card is an easy process that can be done at an Aadhaar update centre or an enrolment centre. To initiate the update, follow these steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of UIDAI.
Step 2: Navigate to the ‘My Aadhaar’ section and click on ‘Locate an Enrolment Center.’
Step 3: Find the nearest enrolment centre in your vicinity.
Step 4: Visit the Aadhaar enrolment centre and obtain the Aadhaar correction form.
Step 5: Fill out the Aadhaar correction form accurately with the updated information.
Step 6: Submit the filled-out Aadhaar correction form along with the necessary documents and the applicable fee to facilitate the correction of Aadhaar information.
How to Update Aadhaar Card Demographics Details Offline?
You can update your address online through the Self-Service Update Portal (SSUP). However, for updating other details such as demographic information (name, address, date of birth, gender, mobile number, email) and biometrics (fingerprints, iris, and photograph) in your Aadhaar card, you will need to visit a Permanent Enrolment Center (PEC).
Update Date of Birth (DoB) on Your Aadhaar Card
Step 1: Visit the nearest Aadhaar Enrolment Center.
Step 2: Fill out the Aadhaar Update Form, providing the correct birthdate information.
Step 3: Submit the filled form along with proof of your date of birth.
Step 4: Authenticate your identity by providing your biometrics.
Step 5: You will receive a receipt with a Unique Request Number (URN) for tracking purposes.

Step 7: Pay a fee of Rs. 50 to the executive at the Aadhaar Enrolment Center.
Step 8: Within 90 days, your date of birth will be updated on your Aadhaar card.
Update Name on Aadhaar Card
Step 1: Visit the Aadhaar Enrolment/Update Center by going to https://uidai.gov.in/.
Step 2: Fill out the Aadhaar Update Form with the required details.
Step 3: Make sure to provide your current mobile phone number on the form.
Step 4: Submit the form to the executive at the Aadhaar Enrolment/Update centre.
Step 5: The executive will register your name change request.
Step 6: You will receive an acknowledgement slip with a Unique Request Number (URN) for reference.
Step 7: To avail this service, a fee of Rs. 50 needs to be paid.
Update Gender on Aadhaar Card
Step 1: Visit the nearest Aadhaar Card Enrolment Centre.
Step 2: Obtain the AADHAAR DATA UPDATE/CORRECTION FORM and fill it out.
Step 3: Submit the filled form along with the necessary documents to the Aadhaar Enrollment Operator.

Step 6: Once the process is completed, you will receive a confirmation SMS on your registered mobile number regarding your Aadhaar Update Request within 72 hours.
Update Mobile Number on Aadhaar Card
Step 1: Visit the UIDAI website at https://uidai.gov.in/ to locate the nearest Aadhaar enrolment centre.
Step 2: Bring your original Aadhaar card, a government-issued photo ID proof, and your current mobile number.
Step 3: At the enrolment centre, fill out the update form and submit it along with your original documents.
Step 4: The enrolment centre will update your mobile number in the Aadhaar database.
Step 5: You will be issued an updated Aadhaar card reflecting the new mobile number.
How to Update an Aadhaar Card Online?
To update your name, date of birth, address, and gender details online, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Visit the official Aadhaar website.
Step 2: Click on “Proceed to Update Aadhaar.”
Step 3: Enter your Aadhaar number and captcha.
Step 4: Click on “Send OTP.”
Step 5: Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
Step 6: Select “Update Demographics Data.”

What to Keep in Mind When Updating Aadhaar Card Details?
