List of Aadhaar Address Update Documents

Following is the list of documents required for an address update in an Aadhaar card:

  1. Passport
  2. Bank Statement/Passbook, Post Office Account Statement/Passbook
  3. Ration Card, Voter ID Card, Driving License
  4. Government Photo ID Cards/Service Photo Identity Card issued by PSU
  5. Electricity Bill, Telephone Bill, Water Bill, Gas Connection Bill (issued within the last 3 months), a Property Tax Receipt (issued within the last year), Allotment Letter of Accommodation issued by Central/ State Govt. (issued within the last 3 years)
  6. Signed letter with a photo from a Bank on its letterhead, Signed letter with a photo issued by a Registered Company on its letterhead, Signed letter with a photo issued by a Recognized Educational Institution on its letterhead, or a Photo ID with address issued by a Recognized Educational Institution
  7. NREGA Job Card, Pensioner Card, Arms License, Freedom Fighter Card, Kissan Passbook, CGHS/ECHS Card
  8. Certificate of Address with a photo issued by an MP, MLA, MLC, Gazetted Officer, or Tehsildar on the UIDAI standard certificate format for enrollment/update, or a Certificate of Address issued by a Village Panchayat head or equivalent authority (for rural areas) on the UIDAI standard certificate format for enrollment/update
  9. Income Tax Assessment Order, Vehicle Registration Certificate, Registered Sale/ Lease/ Rent Agreement, Address Card with Photo issued by Department of Posts, Caste and Domicile Certificate with Photo issued by State Government
  10. Passport of Spouse, Passport of Parents (in case of Minor), Disability ID Card/ disability medical certificate issued by the respective State/ UT Governments/ Administrations, Marriage Certificate issued by the Government, containing an address, Bhamashah Card/Jan-Aadhaar card issued by the Government of Rajasthan
  11. Certificate from Superintendent/ Warden/ Matron/ Head of Institution of recognized shelter homes or orphanages etc. on UIDAI standard certificate format for enrollment/update, Certificate of Address with photo issued by a Municipal Councillor on the UIDAI standard certificate format for enrollment/update
  12. Identity Card issued by a recognized educational institution, SSLC book with photograph, School Identity Card, School Leaving Certificate (SLC)/ School Transfer Certificate (TC), containing the Name and Address, Extract of School Records containing the Name, Address, and Photograph issued by the Head of School, Certificate of Identity containing the Name, Address, and Photo issued by a Recognized Educational Institution signed by the Head of the Institute on the UIDAI standard certificate format for enrollment/update
  13. Certificate of Identity containing Name, DOB, and Photograph issued by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) on the UIDAI standard certificate format for enrollment/update
