It's frustrating when a simple UPI payment for a gift voucher fails! Here are the most probable reasons why your transaction isn't going through on Paytm:

1. Limit & Balance Issues

  • Daily UPI Limit: Your bank or the UPI system has a max daily transfer limit (usually ₹1 lakh). If the voucher amount exceeds your remaining daily limit, the payment is blocked.

  • Insufficient Balance: Always double-check your bank balance before hitting pay.

2. Technical Glitches

  • Temporary Server Issue: The UPI network, your bank, or Paytm might be facing a temporary server issue. This usually resolves in a few minutes.

  • Payment Timeout: Slow internet or a server delay can cause the payment authorization to time out.

3. Security & Voucher Issues

  • Incorrect PIN: Entering the wrong UPI PIN is a straight failure.

  • Voucher Limit Reached: Occasionally, a specific popular voucher might be temporarily out of stock or hit its daily purchase limit with the provider.

Quick Fixes

  • Wait and Retry: If you suspect a technical issue, wait 5–10 minutes and try the UPI payment again.

  • Try Another Method: If UPI repeatedly fails, use your Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking option to complete the purchase.

Note: If you see a specific error message, note it down and contact Paytm Customer Support (through the "Help & Support" section).
