Paytm offers multiple convenient ways to transfer money securely and instantly. Whether you are scanning a QR code, sending to a mobile number, or transferring funds between your own accounts, you can complete the transaction in seconds using UPI.

Method 1: Scan & Pay (QR Code)

This is the fastest method for paying merchants or individuals in person.

• Open Scanner:
  • Open the Paytm App.
  • Tap on the 'Scan & Pay' icon.
• Scan Code:
  • Point your camera at the recipient's QR code.
  • Tip: If you received a QR code image via WhatsApp or Email, tap the Gallery Icon on the scanner screen to upload and scan it.
• Enter Details:
  • If required, verify the recipient's name and enter the Amount.
  • Tap 'Proceed'.
• Authenticate:
  • Select your linked Bank Account and tap 'Pay Securely'.
  • Enter your UPI PIN to complete the transaction.

Method 2: Send to a Mobile Number

Ideal for sending money to friends, family, or contacts who use Paytm or any UPI app.

• Navigate to Transfer:
  • Open the app and tap on 'To Mobile or Contact' (under the Money Transfer section).
• Enter Contact:
  • Type the recipient's Mobile Number, Name, or UPI ID.
  • Select the contact from the list.
• Enter Amount:
  • Tap 'Pay'.
  • Enter the Amount you wish to send and tap 'Proceed Securely'.
• Authenticate:
  • Select your linked Bank Account and tap 'Pay Securely'.
  • Enter your UPI PIN.

Method 3: Transfer to Bank Account (Account No. & IFSC)

Use this method to send money to someone using their specific banking details.

• Select Option:
  • Tap on 'To Bank or Self A/c' on the home screen.
  • Select 'Enter Bank A/c Details' (or Enter Bank A/c No. & IFSC).
• Enter Details:
  • Input the recipient's Bank Account Number and IFSC Code.
  • Tap 'Proceed'.
• Pay:
  • Enter the Amount.
  • Select your Bank Account and tap 'Pay'.
  • Enter your UPI PIN to finalize the transfer.

Method 4: Self Transfer (Between Own Accounts)

Use this to move money between two different bank accounts linked to your own Paytm number.

• Navigate to Self Transfer:
  • Open the app and tap on 'To Self A/c' (under the Money Transfer section).
• Select Accounts:
  • Choose the bank account you want to send money TO (Destination).
  • Enter the Amount and tap 'Proceed'.
• Authenticate:
  • Choose the bank account you want to send money FROM (Source).
  • Tap 'Pay' and enter your UPI PIN.
  • The transfer is completed instantly.
