Linking your bank account to Paytm is the first step toward fast, secure, and cashless transactions. Whether you want to send money via UPI, pay bills, or recharge your mobile, adding a bank account enables you to do it all instantly. You can link multiple accounts and even select a primary one for your default transactions.

Steps to Link a New Bank Account

Follow the given steps to add your bank account to the Paytm App:

• Open the App:
  • Launch the Paytm App on your smartphone.
• Access Settings:
  • Tap on your Profile Icon located in the top-left corner of the screen.
• Navigate to Payment Settings:
  • Scroll down the menu and select 'UPI & Payment Settings'.
  • This section allows you to manage all your linked accounts and preferences.
• Add Account:
  • Tap on the option labeled 'Add New Bank Account' (or Add Another Bank Account if you already have one linked).
• Select Your Bank:
  • A list of supported banks will appear. Select the bank where you hold your account.
  • Note: Ensure that the mobile number registered with Paytm is the same one linked to your bank account.
• Verification:
  • The app will automatically verify your details with the bank via SMS.
  • Once verified, your account will be successfully linked, and you can set your UPI PIN to start transacting.
