Supporting New Dads to Connect With their Little Ones

We pride ourselves on being recognised as one of the best places to work, not only because of our innovative and entrepreneurial work culture but also for our employee-centric policies. Our goal is to make each day special for our Paytmers, offering comprehensive healthcare, wealth creation opportunities, and a wide array of benefits that support their well-being. One of our most meaningful initiatives is our family-friendly leave policy, designed to support Paytmers during key life moments, including marriage, maternity, paternity and bereavement leaves.

Our paternity leave policy exemplifies our commitment to helping new fathers balance their personal and professional responsibilities. Not only are our male employees eligible for paternity leave upon the birth or adoption of a child but they are allowed to avail of this leave any time during the first year of their fatherhood, giving them time and space to bond with their newborn.

Paytmers are now entitled to two weeks of paid paternity leave, which can be taken as 10 consecutive working days or split into multiple leave over the course of one year from the initial application. We have doubled the leave to give flexibility to new fathers to plan their leave in a way that best suits their personal needs – be it for vaccination visits, celebrations or simply to bond with the little one(s).

To avail this leave, Paytmers must apply for it within 60 days of their child’s birth or adoption. We encourage Paytmers to coordinate their leave with their teams, planning in advance to ensure that both personal priorities and organisational goals are seamlessly aligned. This proactive approach helps ensure that employees can take time off without any adverse effects on work commitments.

In addition to our paternity leave benefits, we offer a range of supportive services for working parents. Our creche facilities, for instance, make it easier for Paytmers to balance family and work responsibilities. Our robust maternity and paternity leave policies are complemented by initiatives that promote overall well-being, such as counseling services through our POSH policy and regular wellness programs. We also organise yoga sessions, inviting experts to help Paytmers maintain their mental and physical health, ensuring that they are supported in every aspect of their lives.

We are committed to creating a nurturing environment that supports every Paytmer through every stage of their life journey. Our paternity leave policy is just one of the many ways we strive to empower our employees and help them thrive, both at work and in their personal lives.
