Prioritising Mental Wellness Through Purposeful and Supportive Sessions

Health and well-being are the pillars of a productive and fulfilling work life. Continuing our focus on Paytmers wellness, we recently hosted a session on ‘The Impact of Stress on Mental and Physical Health’ by Dr. Manisha Singhal, Clinical Psychologist, Apollo Hospitals. The session offered meaningful insights into recognising stress and managing it with awareness and intention.

Our wellness ecosystem is strengthened through regular health talks, mindfulness practices, yoga programs, and collaborations with reputed healthcare institutions including Fortis, Max, Apollo, Medanta, and Motherhood Hospitals. These partnerships bring expert consultations, preventive checkups, regional discounts, and exclusive health offerings directly to our campuses, ensuring easy access to reliable healthcare for every Paytmer.

Dr. Singhal helped Paytmers understand two types of stress: Eustress, the positive stress that motivates growth such as promotions, buying a new car, or major life milestones. Distress, the negative stress arising from work pressure, relationship challenges, conflicts, or disruptive life events.

She encouraged self-reflection through thought-provoking questions like: What did you dream of as a child? What two changes can you make in the next three weeks? Do you prioritise your mental peace? What has been bothering you recently? When was the last time you laughed wholeheartedly? Her core message was simple and powerful: Never forget your real self.

Emotional well-being means being comfortable with who you are, setting boundaries without guilt, taking breaks when needed, resting without apology, and practising self-forgiveness. Sessions like these not only provide guidance but also create a safe environment for open discussion. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A where employees shared concerns and learned about symptoms, risk factors, and management strategies.

By equipping Paytmers with the right tools and support, we continue to build a workplace that values not just performance but the overall health, balance, and happiness of every individual.
