Step 1: Visit the Parivahan portal and click on ‘Informational Services’ and then on “Know Your Vehicle Details” option displayed on the homepage. Alternatively, you can search “VAHAN search” on Google to directly land on the specified page.
Step 2: Enter your mobile number and the verification code sent to you. Click on the “Create Account” button to proceed.
Step 3: After successfully creating an account, enter the vehicle registration number to search for the vehicle details.
Step 4: The portal will display essential information about the vehicle, including the owner’s name, RTO details, make and model, RC/FC expiry date, insurance details, and more.

Yes, there is one more way through which you can collect information of any registered vehicle owner details by number plate online using SMS. Find below the steps you need to follow
- Step 1– Use the format “VAHAN <Vehicle registration number> and send this via SMS on: 7738299899. For example VAHAN KA01AD8xx2
- Step 2– Within a few minutes you will receive a message from the same number with all the vehicle registration details such as owner’s name, RTO details, make and model, RC/FC expiry, insurance details, and other relevant information.
