The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) added 20.36 lakh new employees under the ESI Scheme in July 2025, according to provisional payroll data.
A total of 31,146 new establishments were brought under the ambit of the scheme during the month, expanding social security coverage to more workers nationwide.

- New Employees Added: 20,36,008 (up from 19,37,314 in June 2025, a growth of 98,694 employees)
- Young Workforce: Out of total registrations, 9.85 lakh employees (48.37%) are aged 25 years or below
- Women Participation: 4.33 lakh female employees were enrolled
- Transgender Employees: 88 new registrations, highlighting ESIC’s commitment to inclusive social security
- New Establishments: 31,146 establishments joined the scheme in July
