The historic consecration ceremony of the Shri Ram temple held today, January 22, 2024, and we stand proud to be an integral part of this transformative journey with our pioneering and iconic products like Paytm QR Code, Soundbox devices, and more.
The vibrant streets of Ayodhya are adorned with spiritual fervor, and every shop and stall is not only embracing tradition but also the digital wave with our devices, transforming local businesses and enabling seamless digital transactions. The city is adopting mobile payments with Paytm and we have taken Paytm UPI to every nook and corner of the country with our devices.
The newly launched debit-card sized Paytm pocket soundbox was a special favorite for flower and vermillion sellers in the vibrant Hanuman Garhi of Ayodhya. The Paytm Music Soundbox also played bhajans while accepting digital payments with no interruptions. The devotees who have come from the length and breadth of India are having a seamless digital transaction experience in the traditional yet modern spiritual city.
The simplicity and efficiency of our pioneered devices provide a user-friendly experience, making digital transactions accessible to everyone, from devout pilgrims to local vendors. Recently, MyGovIndia, the citizen engagement platform of the Government of India shared a small video, presenting a flavourful journey into Ayodhya’s local delicacies, over X (formerly Twitter). In the clipping the presence of our iconic devices is simply praise worthy.
We have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Ayodhya Nagar Nigam for widespread adoption of mobile payment. The Ayodhya Municipal Corporation is actively implementing mobile payments across various departments utilizing Paytm pioneered QR codes, Soundbox, and Card machines. Our card machines have been strategically deployed at cash collection centers, offering enhanced payment options.
Our newly launched Paytm Pocket and Music Soundbox have seen widespread adoption in the city, particularly in popular holy destinations such as – Hanuman Garhi, Sita Ki Rasoi, Naya Ghat, Keshav Bhavan and the banks of river Saryu. The all-in-one Paytm QR code is frequently being used by devotees residing in Ayodhya for their transactions.
Apart from easing mobile payments, we also enabled users to watch the Live TV telecast of the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha Ayodhya, at the nearest theatre. Users booked the tickets for the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya via our Paytm app, and watched the same at the select theatres of multiplex operator PVR INOX, and at the multiplex theatres.
