On the occasion of World Environment Day, Paytm Foundation organized a beach clean-updrive at Juhu Beach, Mumbai, in partnership with Project Mumbai. The initiative brought together employees with a shared commitment to environmental conservation and responsible community engagement.
Uniting for a Cleaner Environment
The drive commenced in the morning at the iconic Juhu Beach, where participants gathered with enthusiasm to contribute towards a cleaner and healthier coastline. The team from Project Mumbai conducted an awareness session highlighting the growing challenge of plastic pollution, its impact on marine ecosystems, and the importance of collective action in preserving natural Resources.
Taking Action on the Ground
Following the orientation, volunteers equipped themselves with gloves, collection bags, and cleaning tools before spreading across the beach. Working together, they collected plastic waste, discarded bottles, food packaging, and other non-biodegradable materials that often find their way into the ocean, posing risks to marine life and coastal habitats.
Creating Lasting Awareness
Beyond the immediate environmental impact, the activity served as a powerful reminder of the role individuals can play in protecting the planet. Participants gained firsthand insight into the scale of waste pollution and the importance of adopting sustainable habits in everyday life. The drive also strengthened the spirit of volunteerism and collective responsibility among employees.
Commitment to a Greener Future

The World Environment Day beach clean-up at Juhu Beach reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that create cleaner public spaces and encourage environmental stewardship.
