Our CSR arm Paytm Foundation has entered into a partnership with the Government of Tamil Nadu to set up Tamil Nadu Technology (iTNT) Hub in Chennai. We aim to pave the way for technology innovation across the country.
The iTNT Hub is India’s first Innovation Hub funded and established by MeitY, Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu, in partnership with the industry as a Public-Private Partnership. Along with our CSR arm, a total of 10 industry partners have contributed financially towards the hub.
The Hub is mandated with the task of building a global Innovation Hub out of India, which will leverage technology to enable Indian entrepreneurs to build category leadership, technology that will enable to achieve our ESG goals, technology that will help towards governance, technology that will help us achieve social security and technology that will help build the workforce of the future. It will focus on emerging sunrise sectors such as Climate Tech, Defense (Cyber), Web3, Food tech, Agritech, Robotics, Mobility and Entertainment.
With our support, iTNT will focus on the establishment of programs such as Incubation, Acceleration (connecting Indian entrepreneurs to global markets), a venture studio, industry-academia innovation network and an Industrial Makerspace which will provide design as a service and small batch production. The Hub will also engage in ongoing activities such as EIR Programs, organizing intent-driven hackathons and building a network of mentors for the deeptech ecosystem in India.
“We are building an ecosystem for innovation, and enabling entrepreneurship for driving better solutions. With an aim to help entrepreneurs grow their ventures into successful enterprises, we are excited to partner with the Tamil Nadu government to build a world class innovation hub — iTNT. We continue to remain committed to creating an inclusive society and serving India with the power of technology”.
