We believe that when compassion leads the way, meaningful change naturally follows. This was evident in our recent CSR volunteering initiative held in partnership with the Paytm Foundation in Noida and Kolkata. Paytmers spent a memorable day with the children at St. Jude India ChildCare Centres, a nurturing space that supports young cancer patients and their families.
The day began with a warm welcome from the St. Judes team, who took our volunteers on a tour of the facility and shared insights into the inspiring work being done to assist children undergoing cancer treatment. Friendly introductions helped set a joyful tone, with children and volunteers exchanging their names, favourite movies, hobbies and role models. These simple interactions helped the children open up and created a space of comfort and trust.
One of the most engaging parts of the day was the art and craft collage activity, where creativity truly came alive. Children eagerly experimented with colours, shapes, textures and different themes, creating vibrant artwork that reflected their imagination. Volunteers participated enthusiastically, helping the children express their ideas and encouraging every spark of creativity. In Kolkata, many children created Children’s Day–themed posters, while others expressed themselves through colourful drawings. The room quickly transformed into a lively creative space filled with chatter, excitement and shared learning.

In Noida, the interactions continued with a lively “Pass the Ball” game that brought out laughter, music and confident self-expression. Each time the music stopped, the child holding the ball performed something they enjoyed, whether it was singing, dancing, reciting a poem or completing a fun task. This activity helped boost confidence and encouraged the children to express themselves freely. Across both cities, conversations flowed naturally as children spoke about their friends, dreams and the people they admire, creating genuine bonds that left a lasting impression on volunteers.

The celebration concluded with thoughtful gestures of care. Volunteers distributed fruits and new sets of crayons to the children, who accepted them with bright smiles and excitement. These small tokens added a personal touch and extended comfort not just to the children, but also to their families.
The experience reaffirmed our belief that small acts of kindness can create meaningful ripples of change. We remain committed to uplifting communities across the country and look forward to organising more such engagements that inspire hope, bring people together and make a positive difference. Together, we continue building a future where compassion and care uplift every life we touch.
