Linking your bank account with UPI on Paytm allows you to make instant payments directly from your bank account. Once linked, you can send and receive money, pay bills, recharge, and make payments without entering your bank details every time.

Steps to Link Bank Account with UPI on Paytm

  1. Open the Paytm App on your smartphone.
  2. Tap your profile icon at the top-left corner.
  3. Go to 'UPI & Payment Settings'.
  4. Tap on 'Link Bank Account' or 'Add Bank Account'.
  5. Select your bank name from the available list.
  6. Paytm will verify your mobile number linked with your bank account through SMS authentication.
  7. Once verified, your bank account details will be fetched automatically.
  8. If you have not set up a UPI PIN, create one using your debit card details.

Your bank account is now linked with UPI on Paytm and ready for making payments.

Note: A UPI ID is automatically created after linking your bank account.

What Happens After Linking Your Bank Account?

  • A UPI ID is automatically created for your linked bank account.
  • When you set up UPI on Paytm, multiple UPI ID options may be generated using combinations of your mobile number, name, or available formats. You can choose any one of these and set it as your primary UPI ID for sending or receiving money.
  • You can link multiple bank accounts and manage them from UPI settings.
  • You can select a preferred bank account for making UPI payments.
  • You can send money, receive payments, pay bills, recharge, and shop using UPI on Paytm.
