To create a UPI ID on Paytm, you need a smartphone, an active mobile number linked to your bank account, and the Paytm app installed.

Steps to Create Your UPI ID on Paytm App

1. Open the Paytm app on your smartphone.
2. Tap on your profile icon at the top-left corner of the screen.
3. Select 'UPI & Payment Settings' from the menu.
4. On the next screen, look for the 'UPI ID' section and tap 'View' to see your current UPI ID.
5. Tap the three dots next to your primary UPI ID and select 'Change Primary UPI ID'.
6. You'll now see options to choose a new UPI ID (such as @ptaxis, @pthdfc, @ptsbi, or @ptyes).
7. Choose your preferred ID and tap 'Proceed'.

Your UPI ID is now ready to use for sending and receiving money through Paytm.

Things to Know

• One UPI ID is created for each linked bank account.
• You can add multiple bank accounts and switch between them anytime.
• No need to share your bank details—just use your UPI ID.
