Your UPI PIN is the secure 4 or 6-digit code required to authorize every transaction. Whether you are setting up your account for the first time or updating your PIN for better security, you can manage it easily within the Paytm App.

How to Create a UPI PIN (First-Time Setup)

If you are linking a bank account to Paytm for the first time, follow these steps to generate your PIN:

  • Access Settings:

    • Open and log in to the Paytm App.
    • Tap on your Profile Icon in the top-left corner.
    • Select 'UPI & Payment Settings'.
  • Link Your Bank:

    • If you haven't done so yet, select the option to link your bank account.
    • Choose your bank from the list. Paytm will automatically fetch the account details linked to your registered mobile number.
  • Set the PIN:

    • Once the bank details are verified, you will be prompted to set a UPI PIN.
    • Enter your desired 4 or 6-digit PIN and confirm it.
  • Verify via OTP:

    • Paytm will send a One-Time Password (OTP) to your mobile number.
    • Enter the OTP to verify and complete the process.

Result: Your UPI PIN is set, and you are ready to make transactions.
