What is a UPI PIN?

A UPI PIN is a secure 4 or 6-digit code used to authorize UPI transactions on Paytm. It acts as a security layer that confirms you are the account holder before money is sent from your linked bank account. You need to enter your UPI PIN to complete payments, but it should never be shared with anyone.

How to Create a UPI PIN on Paytm (First-Time Setup)

When you link a bank account to Paytm for the first time, you need to set a UPI PIN to start making transactions.

  1. Open the Paytm App and log in using your registered mobile number.
  2. Tap your profile icon at the top-left corner.
  3. Go to 'UPI & Payment Settings'.
  4. Select 'Link Bank Account' and choose your bank from the list.
  5. Paytm will verify your bank account using your registered mobile number.
  6. Enter your debit card details as required for verification.
  7. Set your 4 or 6-digit UPI PIN and confirm it.

Your UPI PIN will be created, and you can start making UPI transactions on Paytm.

How to Change or Update Your UPI PIN on Paytm

You can update your UPI PIN anytime from the Paytm App if you want to change it.

  1. Open the Paytm App and go to 'UPI & Payment Settings'.
  2. Select the bank account for which you want to change the UPI PIN.
  3. Tap on 'Change UPI PIN'.
  4. Choose a verification method:
    • Debit Card: Enter the last 6 digits and expiry date of your debit card.
    • Aadhaar Card: Enter the required Aadhaar details (if available).
  5. Enter your new UPI PIN.
  6. Re-enter the new PIN to confirm.

Your UPI PIN will be updated, and you can use the new PIN for future transactions.
