Linking your bank account to Paytm UPI allows you to send money, scan QR codes, and pay bills instantly directly from your bank account. It eliminates the need to load money into a wallet and keeps your transactions secure.

Steps to Link Your Bank Account

Follow these steps to set up UPI on Paytm:

  • Access Settings:

    • Open the Paytm App on your smartphone.
    • Tap on your Profile Icon located in the top-left corner.
  • Navigate to Payment Settings:

  • Add Account:

    • Tap on 'Link Bank Account' or 'Add a Bank Account'.
  • Select Bank:

    • Choose your Bank Name from the list provided.
    • Note: Ensure the mobile number on your phone matches the one registered with your bank.
  • Verification:

    • Paytm will send an SMS to verify your mobile number.
    • Once verified, your bank account details will be fetched automatically.
  • Set UPI PIN:

    • If you are linking this bank for the first time, you will be prompted to set a UPI PIN using your Debit Card details.
    • If you already have a UPI PIN for this bank (created on another app), you can use the same PIN.

Can I Add Multiple Bank Accounts?

Yes. You can link as many bank accounts as you wish.

  • Follow the same steps above to add another bank.
  • In the 'UPI & Payment Settings' section, you can select which account should be your Default Bank Account for sending or receiving money.

Bank Not Showing in List?

If you cannot find your bank in the list, it is possible that your bank is temporarily facing connectivity issues or is not yet supported on the platform. Please try again after some time.
