Before activating UPI, ensure you have:

  • A smartphone with the Paytm App installed.
  • An active bank account with mobile banking enabled.
  • Your mobile number linked to the bank account.
  • Your debit card details (for setting UPI PIN).

Steps to Activate UPI on Paytm

Step 3: Verify Your Account

  1. Paytm sends an SMS from your phone to verify your mobile number with the bank.

  3. Your bank account details will be fetched automatically.

Step 4: Create UPI PIN

  1. Enter the last 6 digits of your debit card number.
  2. Enter the card's expiry date.
  3. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
  4. Enter the OTP and create a UPI PIN (4 or 6 digits).
  5. Confirm your UPI PIN.

Step 5: Start Using UPI

Your UPI is now activated! You can:

  • Send money to UPI ID, mobile number, or bank account.
  • Scan QR codes to pay merchants.
  • Receive money using your UPI ID.
  • Pay bills and recharges.

Troubleshooting

  • Account Not Found: Ensure your mobile number is registered with your bank.
