What is the UPI transfer limit?

The standard UPI transfer limit is Rs 1 lakh per day for most transactions. However, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and RBI have set higher limits for specific categories. For instance, payments to hospitals and educational institutions, as well as investments in IPOs and RBI Retail Direct Schemes, have a limit of Rs 5 lakh per transaction. Additionally, tax payments now allow up to Rs 5 lakh. Individual banks may also set lower daily or per-transaction limits based on their own risk policies.
