What is the funds transfer limit on UPI?

The standard daily transaction limit for UPI is ₹1 lakh per user. However, for specific verified merchant categories, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) allows higher limits:

• Hospital and Educational Services: Up to ₹5 lakh per transaction.
• Capital Markets, Insurance, and Foreign Remittances: Up to ₹5 lakh daily limit.
• IPO and RBI Retail Direct Scheme: Up to ₹5 lakh per transaction.

Individual banks may set lower internal limits based on their own risk policies and the type of account held.
