How to make cancelled cheque

To make a cancelled cheque, follow these steps:

• Select a fresh, unused cheque leaf from your chequebook.
• Draw two parallel diagonal lines across the face of the cheque using a blue or black ink pen.
• Write the word CANCELLED in capital letters between these two lines.
• Ensure the lines do not cover important details like the account number, IFSC code, MICR code, or your name.
• Do not sign the cheque or fill in any other details like the date or amount, as it is only for verification purposes.
