How to make cross cheque

To make a crossed cheque, draw two parallel transverse lines, typically on the top-left corner of the cheque leaf. This instruction tells the bank that the funds must be deposited directly into a bank account and cannot be cashed over the counter. For enhanced security, you can add specific words between the lines:
  • A/C Payee Only: Ensures funds are only credited to the named recipient's account.
  • Not Negotiable: Restricts the further transfer or endorsement of the cheque.
  • Bank Name: Specifies a particular bank for the collection of funds.
