Which is why we set out to build a better homepage. One that helps you quickly access features you already use, and discover new features that make your life easier. One that loads faster, uses space better, and is easier on the eyes. And one that works well with Android’s accessibility features. We are very excited for you to try it out. Here are some key highlights.
Easier to Send Money
At the heart of Paytm are easy, super fast digital payments that never fail. Our technology ensures that payments usually complete in just a couple of seconds. But we wanted to improve our user interface to ensure that you find the right mode of transfer equally quickly.
Paying a merchant or a friend? Or just moving money from one bank account to another? It’s all just one tap away. We’ve brought all the money transfer options front and centre on our home page. You can also tap on “Recent” in the top right corner to view everyone you paid recently.
Easier to Receive Money: Personal QRs
We have all seen our parents use their smartphones, typing away laboriously. Every time we build a feature, we wonder what we can do to make it easier to use for our parents. And the millions of people in India who don’t use their smartphones at the speed of light.
So we built a feature that helps people receive money with zero typing. No need to type your VPA, your bank details, or even tell people which payments app you are on. Just share your personal QR.
Simply open the Paytm app, tap the hamburger menu option on the top left. This will open the new side menu that contains your personal QR, which can be scanned on any UPI app. Tap on “Share QR” to send this to anyone over WhatsApp, email, or any other messaging app.
We’ve made the app more accessible for differently abled users, and will continue to make Paytm easy to use for everyone. The homepage now better supports Talkback on Android, which can now read out everything on the Paytm homepage.
