How to Copy-Paste Bank Account Details Automatically on Paytm

byPaytm Editorial TeamLast Updated: November 28, 2025

Paytm’s auto-fill feature makes transferring money to a new bank account incredibly fast and reduces the chances of errors. You can simply copy the bank details text sent via WhatsApp or SMS and have the app automatically fill the fields for you.

Here are the simple steps to automatically enter bank details using the copy-paste feature:

Step 1: Copy the text message containing the Bank Account Number and IFSC Code you received from the sender (e.g., via WhatsApp or SMS).

Step 2: Open the Paytm App and tap on ‘To Bank/UPI’ from the home screen icons. Tap ‘Enter Bank A/c Details’.

Step 3: The app will prompt you with a pop-up: ‘Do you have bank details copied from WhatsApp?’ Tap ‘Yes, Paste details’ on the blue button.

Step 4: Paste the entire text message containing the account details into the text box that appears. Paytm will automatically identify and extract the Bank Account Number, IFSC Code, and Bank Name.

Step 5: Confirm the details (Receiver’s Name should also be verified by the app) and tap ‘Proceed’ to continue with the money transfer.

The transfer page will now be pre-filled with the correct details, ready for you to enter the amount and complete the payment.
