What Is UPI‑ATM Cash Withdrawal?
UPI‑ATM (also called Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal or ICCW) is a service by NPCI that lets you withdraw cash from ATMs without a debit card. Just use your UPI‑enabled app, scan the ATM’s QR code, and authorize the transaction using your UPI PIN.
Once you select “UPI cash withdrawal”, enter the amount, scan the QR code, and enter your UPI PIN. If everything is correct, cash is dispensed—all securely and cardlessly.
How It Works – Step by Step
- Visit an ATM that supports UPI‑ATM withdrawal.
- Select the “UPI Cash Withdrawal” option on the ATM screen.
- Enter the cash withdrawal amount (up to ₹10,000 per transaction).
- A single-use dynamic QR code appears on the ATM screen.
- Open your UPI app, scan the QR code, and choose the account.
- Enter your UPI PIN to authorize the transaction.
- The ATM validates and dispenses cash instantly.
