While UPI is generally robust, it’s a complex ecosystem involving your phone, internet provider, UPI app, your bank, the recipient’s bank, and the NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) servers in between. A hiccup at any point can lead to a failed transaction.
So, why isn’t your UPI working? Let’s break down the common culprits.
Bank-Related Problems: The Source of Your Funds
Your bank plays a crucial role as it holds your funds and processes the actual debit/credit.
- Bank Server Downtime: Banks periodically undertake maintenance or might experience unexpected server outages. If your bank’s servers are down, your UPI transactions involving that account will fail.
