What is UPI One World?
UPI One World is a digital wallet powered by the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) that allows NRIs and foreign visitors to make payments in India using INR. It is linked to your international mobile number and can be used at stores that accept UPI payments—across cities, towns, and even rural areas.
It removes the need for carrying cash or swiping international cards and works just by scanning a UPI QR code. This wallet is especially helpful for tourists, business travelers, and Indian-origin visitors.
How to Activate UPI One World?
To get started with UPI One World, follow these steps:
- Download a UPI One World App
- Sign up using your international mobile number
- Complete Physical KYC: Visit a partner counter with your passport and valid visa
Email options for help: - Activate UPI One World wallet on your international number
- Load the wallet with INR using a debit card, credit card, or forex card
How to Make Payments Using UPI One World?
Once your wallet is loaded with INR:
- Open the app and choose “Scan & Pay”
- Scan any merchant’s UPI QR code
- Enter your UPI PIN to complete the transaction
