The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has announced that eligible Central Government employees can submit physical applications for the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) to their respective Nodal Offices until 30th September 2025.
The Ministry of Finance had earlier notified the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) for eligible Central Government employees through Notification No. F. No. FX-1/3/2024-PR dated 24.01.2025.
As the deadline to switch to UPS approaches, subscribers who face difficulties submitting their request online via the CRA system—due to technical issues or platform unavailability—can submit a duly filled physical application form to their concerned Nodal Office before the due date. These submissions will be processed according to the prescribed procedure.
Important: The last date for eligible employees and past retirees under NPS to opt for UPS is 30th September 2025.
