The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has issued updated guidelines on the price discovery process for charges levied by Central Recordkeeping Agencies (CRAs) under the National Pension System (NPS) and other pension schemes. The revised charge structure will come into effect from October 1, 2025, aiming to bring transparency, standardization, and flexibility in the fees charged for account opening, maintenance, and transactions across government, APY, and private sector NPS accounts.

Key Highlights:

1. Regulatory Basis:

  • For new services introduced by CRAs, actual charges may be recovered without markup, subject to PFRDA approval.
