Meaning

A UPI Refund is the return of money to the sender’s account when a UPI transaction fails or is reversed due to cancellations or disputes.

How It Works

If a transaction fails or a merchant initiates a refund, the amount is automatically credited back to the original account, usually within 5–7 business days.

Note

You can track the refund status through your UPI app’s transaction history.
