What is the Full Form & Meaning of BHIM UPI?

The full form of BHIM is Bharat Interface for Money. It’s an app developed by NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) that allows you to make fast and easy payments using UPI (Unified Payments Interface). With BHIM, you can transfer money between two banks using a mobile number or VPA (Virtual Payment Address). The app was launched in 2016 to encourage online transactions. You can send money directly to anyone on UPI by using their UPI ID or scanning their QR code and also request money from others using their UPI ID.

What are the Advantages of BHIM UPI?

  • Transfer Money: Users can send or receive money using VPA, account number, IFSC code, Aadhaar number, or QR code. 
  • Transaction History: Users can view their transaction history and pending UPI collection requests.
  • Bank Account Management: Users can view connected bank accounts, set or change UPI PIN, and modify account details.
  • Block Unwanted Requests: Users can block frequent collection request senders.
  • Language Support: The app supports 20 regional languages to enhance user experience.
  • Share QR Codes: QR codes can be shared via WhatsApp, email, or other apps.
