The ICC Social Impact Awards, presented in collaboration with Consultivo as the knowledge and assessment partner, stand as a beacon for exemplary CSR practices and inclusive projects nationwide. These awards celebrate endeavors that harness technology to revolutionise retail operations, thereby fostering environmental and social responsibility. Our Clear Air initiative exemplifies this ethos by leveraging digital solutions for supply chain management and sustainability reporting.
Our dedication to combating air and water pollution extends beyond borders. Since December 2017, our Founder & CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma has served as the United Nations Environment Programme’s (UNEP) Patron for Clean Air, championing global initiatives like the #BreatheLife campaign. The BreatheLife campaign is a major initiative on air quality seeking to influence policy and citizen action for a healthy future. He also sits on the Advisory Board of the Green Digital Finance Alliance, a platform driving fintech innovations for sustainable development.
Through various initiatives such as promoting digital transactions and e-receipts to reduce paper usage, we’ve made strides in conserving water and curbing air pollution. Our Founder & CEO is also on the Advisory Board of the Green Digital Finance Alliance. The Alliance was set up to address the potential for digital finance and fintech-powered business innovations to reshape the financial system in ways that better align it with the needs of sustainable development.
With UNEP, our CSR arm Paytm Foundation has launched a national-level action-oriented forum for India, involving regulators, national and international philanthropic organisations, international development agencies, and the corporate sector. This forum intends to identify the needs, gaps, and solutions to the problem of air quality in India and will ensure project implementation in a structured manner with a yearly action plan.
