A UPI Collect Request is a payment request generated by a merchant or online platform during checkout. Instead of paying immediately, you enter a valid UPI ID, such as your Paytm UPI ID. The payment request is then sent to the UPI app linked to that UPI ID.
The UPI ID can belong to you or someone else who will be making the payment. The account holder reviews the request and approves it using their UPI PIN. Once approved, the payment is completed instantly.
How to Complete a Payment Using a UPI Collect Request
- On the merchant's website or app, select UPI as your preferred payment method.
- Enter your Paytm UPI ID. If someone else will be making the payment, enter their valid UPI ID instead.
- The merchant sends a UPI Collect Request to the UPI app linked to the entered UPI ID.
- Open the Paytm app (or the UPI app linked to the entered UPI ID) and review the payment request.
- Verify the merchant's name and the payment amount.
- Enter the UPI PIN to approve the request and complete the payment.
Once approved, the payment is processed instantly, and both the payer and the merchant receive a confirmation.
