What is UPI Lite?

UPI Lite is an on-device payment feature that allows you to make small-value UPI payments quickly without entering your UPI PIN for every transaction. You can add money to your UPI Lite balance from your linked bank account and use it for faster everyday payments like small purchases at merchants.

Steps to Pay Using UPI Lite on Paytm

Method 1: Pay Using Scan & Pay

1. Open the Paytm App and tap on 'Scan & Pay'.
2. Scan the merchant's UPI QR code.
3. Enter the payment amount.
4. If the payment amount is eligible and your UPI Lite balance is sufficient, UPI Lite will be selected automatically.
5. Confirm the payment. The transaction will be completed instantly without entering your UPI PIN.

Method 2: Pay Using Mobile Number

1. Open the Paytm App and select 'To Mobile or Contact'.
2. Enter the recipient's mobile number or select a contact.
3. Enter the payment amount.
4. For eligible payments, UPI Lite will be used automatically if a sufficient balance is available.
5. Confirm the payment to complete the transaction.

UPI Lite Limits

• Maximum UPI Lite balance: Up to ₹5,000 can be maintained in your UPI Lite account.
• Transaction limit: Up to ₹1,000 per transaction (as per applicable limits).
• Daily usage limit: Up to ₹10,000 in a day through UPI Lite.

These limits are separate from your regular UPI Limit, allowing you to use UPI Lite even when your standard UPI transaction limit has been used.
