UPI Lite is a feature that allows you to make small-value payments (up to ₹500 per transaction) instantly without entering your UPI PIN every time. It works by pre-loading a small amount from your bank account into an on-device wallet, making transactions faster and even possible in areas with low network connectivity.

How to Enable UPI Lite on Paytm

Follow the steps to set up UPI Lite:

• Open the Paytm App:
  • Launch the Paytm App on your smartphone.
• Navigate to UPI Lite:
  • Tap on 'UPI Lite' banner on the home screen, or go to Profile > 'UPI & Payment Settings' > 'UPI Lite'.
• Enable UPI Lite:
  • Tap 'Enable UPI Lite'.
  • Select the bank account you want to link for UPI Lite.
• Add Balance:
  • Enter the amount you want to add to your UPI Lite balance (maximum ₹2,000).
  • Enter your UPI PIN to transfer the amount from your bank to UPI Lite.
• Start Using:
  • Once enabled, UPI Lite will be used automatically for eligible transactions (up to ₹500).

How to Pay Using UPI Lite

• When you make a payment of ₹500 or less, the app will automatically use your UPI Lite balance.
• No UPI PIN is required for these transactions, making them instant.
• If UPI Lite balance is insufficient, the full amount will be debited from your linked bank account using regular UPI.
