Yes, UPI is used outside India. Through NPCI International Payments Limited, UPI has expanded to several countries, allowing Indian travelers and NRIs to make seamless digital payments. Currently, UPI is accepted in countries including:

To use this facility, users must activate the International UPI feature in their app. This enables scanning international QR codes and making payments in local currencies, which are then deducted in Indian Rupees from their linked bank accounts.
